The Natural Craft
Supported by Clapton Commons, local mum and creative Allison McConnell will be launching her Natural & Sustainable Arts & Craft workshops within the area for all to embrace.
Realising the importance of art and nature as a constant within our lives, and understanding that not everyone is able to have regular access to these resources. The Natural Craft, The Common Room and the wonderful outdoor surroundings of Clapton Commons can provide a safe, inspiring space for children and teenagers to embrace art & nature in afterschool workshops and holiday art clubs.
Families can spend time making and creating together as a bonding activity and adults can use the space as a getaway from work or home stresses to make and create with others from their local community.
Each workshop is age appropriate, themed, linked to the seasons, natural resources, recycling, current exhibitions, books, and music. From magical journey wands, upcycled cardboard crafts, flower pot planting, natural cosmetics, nature games & puppets, to pantry ingredient painting, we aim to deliver a creative space of natural happiness for everyone.
The next workshop is on Saturday 13th March - with all proceeds being donated to Clapton Commons Spacehive campaign. For tickets go to the eventbrite.
