Stories of Springfield is an oral history project celebrating the lives of the people who made this area great. 

Why are we doing this? 

For so many of us, Covid has disrupted our usual funerals and shared mourning rituals. We started Stories of Springfield because we wanted to create an opportunity for local families and our whole community to remember and celebrate those we have loved and lost.

How does it work? 

Our team of trained volunteers are having ‘Memorial Conversations’ with family, friends and colleagues of people who have recently died to celebrate their memory and legacy. The conversations are recorded so you have something you can share with people you know. The recordings will also be available publicly on the Clapton Commons website to help the whole community to learn more of our shared history.
